Are NMEA 2000 connectors waterproof?

To be completely waterproof, the connectors would have to be IPX8, and commonly IPX9K rated. Most manufacturers do not claim IPX8 ratings on their connectors but do have a slightly lower rating indicating they are water resilient and can withstand some level of submergence for a stated amount of time. Our connectors are rated to IP67 when mated.
