Meet the Team

Phil

Phil founded the company in 1997 and has grown the company from a small bedroom to an 8000 square feet facility in Poole that now exports to over 50 countries worldwide. He enjoys trekking at high altitudes, has run well over 40 marathons including the six world major series.

Michele

Meet our Managing Director, Michele, who along with husband Phil, runs the business. Michele is also a Governor of a local hospital. She is very active and enjoys travelling, trekking, aerobics, running, speed walking, yoga and gardening. She is even a Six-Star World Major Marathon Holder!

Justin

Justin leads on the commercial strategy of the company, building relationships with customers and focused on all sales & marketing matters. His team ensures that our customers know all about our solutions, while also acting as brand guardian for the Actisense brand. Justin spends his spare time disturbing his poor neighbours by playing his piano, guitar, sax and drums (not necessarily at the same time).

Amie

Amie is our Senior Sales Account Executive and looks after our customers around the world, from receiving orders to dealing with any questions. Outside of work, her main hobbies are photography, graphic design and playing video games.

Megan

Megan is our Marketing Executive and is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Company's marketing strategy, including digital marketing campaigns, creative design, and running our socials. Her hobbies include travelling, weightlifting in the gym, photography, and walking her dogs by the beach.

Josh

Armed with exceptional NMEA knowledge, Josh engages with the wider market to better understand the electronics connectivity challenges they face, so that our team can engineer innovative solutions to help solve these. When not at work, Josh is either in a car, working on a car or looking at more parts for his car. You could say he has a slight addiction to cars.

Steve

Steve is our Tech Support Engineer who is responsible for resolving technical issues for our customers and installers. Steve enjoys walking his dogs, playing video games, teaching himself new instruments and watching any movies he can get it hands on.

Lydia

Lydia is our Sales Administrator, supporting Amie by looking after our distributors and is responsible for sales administrative tasks. Outside of work, Lydia enjoys sailing with her partner and friends, having recently sailed to the West Country. She is also a huge movie fan and enjoys cycling and dining out.

Andy

Andy works closely with our Head of Engineering to keep the engineering department organised and focused on advancing our existing Actisense products whilst also developing new, next generation products. Andy is a keen space enthusiast, military tank fan and is also an avid football player, playing 6-a-side football twice a week.

Maurice

Maurice is responsible for the electronics hardware design of the products including research & development, CAD design, prototyping building and conformance testing working closely with Grant. When not sitting in front of an oscilloscope or soldering iron, he can be found tinkering in his garage workshop, cycling, canoeing or relaxing in a hammock next to a camp-fire.

Marek

Marek is a senior software engineer responsible for maintaining current products, developing new features, fixing bugs and overseeing our version control and continuous integration systems. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, scuba diving and powerlifting.

Mark

Mark is the brains behind the production database and developed the entire programme from scratch. The sophisticated system tracks stock, shipping, sample devices, production history and device history. Mark is a keen sportsman and will ride to work on his bike or run in, often going to the gym aswell.

Divya

Divya is our Test Engineer and she is responsible for the quality assurance of all software and embedded firmware projects, and designing and implementing the testcases with the development team. Divya loves traveling, music and spending time with her family.

Richard

Rich is a Firmware Engineer, responsible for developing new and exciting features for our products as well as getting involved in other technical aspects of the business. Outside of work, Rich has a bit of a running obsession - long ultra marathons are his thing, and, when not running, he writes books about it. He also likes to hit a drum kit or piano, and a bit of photography.

Tara

Tara provides assistance and support to our Directors and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring that office administration and operations run smoothly. Tara enjoys watching true crime documentaries or reading any Colleen Hoover book. She has recently got into baking bread and her goal is to master a focaccia!

Catalina

Catalina, our HSQE and Facilities coordinator, supports us in upholding high-quality standards. During her spare time, she finds joy in illustration, learning tattooing art, cake decorations, sewing, 3D modelling and exploring various creative skills.

May

May is our Finance Officer, looking after the company's finances which includes ensuring financial records are fully maintained and updated, ready for audit purposes. Outside of work, May enjoys keeping fit and healthy by going to the gym four times a week. She also loves food, travelling, walking and growing her own vegetables.

Peta

Peta is our Compliance Officer, supporting our Head of Operations in ensuring that we uphold our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standard. Peta is a keen runner, having completed her first half marathon, as well keeping active with cycling, walking and paddleboarding. You can also find Peta touring around historical sites of interest with family and friends.

Lauren

Lauren is responsible for ensuring we have enough stock and materials in house to produce current and new products. Outside of work, Lauren likes Lord of the Rings and Marvel, as well as watching period dramas. She also enjoys going out for beach walks and eating different foods.

Yves

Yves is responsible for supervising the production assets, resources, and day-to-day activities to optimise production activity. In his spare time, Yves enjoys fixing, modifying and driving cars, as well as going to the gym and hiking with a soft spot for the Welsh mountains and the Pyrenees in France.

Dominic

Dominic is part of the production team and is responsible for the assembly and testing of our products. Dominic is a keen football supporter and is a big Liverpool fan. He also likes attending gigs and music festivals.

Jonathan

Gabi

Gabi is a member of our Production team. She enjoys spending her free time on activities such as cycling in the Forest, working out at the gym, exploring new places, BBQs with friends and having fun with Karaoke. She's also a keen canvas painter, plays instruments and chills out with meditation.

Ossian

"Ozzy" is a member of our production team, helping build our extensive product range. He's a keen music fan and enjoys watching live concerts and films, as well as long walks in the woods or on our local beaches.
