Press release issued: 30 September 2026
Dallas, Texas – Actisense, global specialists in marine electronics, have been honoured as the Manufacturer of the Year at the 2026 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Conference and Expo. This prestigious event, held at the Hilton Rockwall Hotel in Dallas, Texas, kicked off with the NMEA Product of Excellence Awards on Tuesday, September 29th.
This marks the fifth consecutive year that Actisense has received this esteemed award. With nearly 30 years of expertise in engineering and manufacturing NMEA connectivity and data management solutions, Actisense continues to lead the industry. Their latest innovations include new free NMEA network diagnostics tools and remote monitoring via ActisenseCloud.
Phil Whitehurst, CEO of Actisense, collected the award and said: “Five years in a row. That still takes some getting used to! This award is voted for by NMEA members, the people who install, integrate and depend on marine electronics every day. That’s what makes it matter so much to us. It reflects a team that sweats the details so our products just work, and a worldwide network of partners who back them up in the field. We don’t take it for granted. We’ll keep earning it!“
Andy Campbell, Chief Engineer at Actisense, added: “The NMEA Conference is where the industry actually talks to each other. You see what everyone’s been building, you swap notes on what’s working in the field, and you catch up with industry friends you’ve known for years. The expo floor is only part of it. The real value is in the sessions and the corridor conversations with some of the sharpest creators in marine electronics.“
The NMEA Conference and Expo comprises technical seminars, manufacturer training sessions as well as a large exhibition by leading marine electronics manufacturers, along with networking opportunities and the awards dinner. Andy Campbell also presented a seminar on NMEA connectivity, Actisense’s latest innovations, and using the company’s SDK and rest API to integrate solutions.
