Actisense, the marine electronics specialists, have continued their partnership with Sea-Changers marine conservation charity for the next twelve months.
In 2023, Actisense began a partnership with Sea-Changers as part of their environmental commitment. They made a donation of £1,000. This partnership will now continue for a further twelve months with an additional donation. The donation will contribute towards Sea-Changers’ Main Grants Fund. This bi-annual fund addresses the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK and supports practical solutions to the negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and/or species. Over the past 13 years, Sea-Changers has funded nearly 500 vital and innovative marine conservation projects. The projects funded are often community or grass roots based. The funding for this programme comes through business partnerships like the one with Actisense.

In 2023 the Sea-Changers’ Main Grants Fund was in very high demand with nearly 90 marine conservation projects applying for support. There were 37 successful projects which received a total of just over £78,000; with each specific project receiving between £750 and £2,500. Projects are supported all over the British Isles, from Alderney in the Channel Islands and Newquay in the South-West of England; to the Scottish Hebrides and from Yorkshire and Humberside on the East coast to Anglesey in the far West of Wales and the Isle of Man.
