New Features for W2K-1: Firmware update (v1.396)
We are pleased to announce our latest firmware release for our W2K-1 NMEA 2000 Wi-Fi Gateway.
While the device now runs much faster and more efficiently thanks to the revised code base, several bugs have been fixed too.
But that’s not all… There are some new features to benefit from too (and we have a raft of additional features coming soon!)
1. Revised homepage
You’ll notice a few new buttons on our product webpage when you log in. These have been placed to make navigation to key functions easier, including access to data logs, network mapping, and the new Data viewer.
2. NMEA data view, direct from the device
To make diagnostics even simpler, you’ll be delighted with the new Data viewer, bringing the ability to see all live outputting PGNs, with validity of time stamps and confirmation of data throughput rate. Here, you’ll also be able to see the actual data being output via each PGN, which could save time and resource when troubleshooting onboard connected devices.
3. NMEA data logs at your disposal
The W2K-1 acts as a powerful, low-cost NMEA 2000 data logger. The Log Download page will help you see what logs have been collected on the installed SD card, and the Setting>Logging page will show the specific amount of capacity used and remaining on the SD card.
4. Network map of all connected devices on the N2K bus
We’ve brought this button to the fore from our Actisense-i suite, as it has been helpful to so many customers wanting to confirm the device details of every connected device onboard. On this NETWORK page, you’ll see the actual PGNs outputting from each connected device.
5. Data Routing Settings
Improved simplicity for showing where data is coming from/going to on the NMEA 2000/CAN bus and the connected data servers.
This is found in the revised Settings page.
We hope you’ll find these updates helpful, and we look forward to releasing some exciting further updates in the coming weeks.
